Haldia Live is an independent digital newsroom anchored in Haldia and the wider Medinipur industrial corridor of West Bengal. This is a region where port throughput, heavy industry, coastal ecology, and rapidly shifting urban–rural livelihoods intersect—often with national supply-chain consequences—yet whose civic debates are under-represented in metro-centric media diets.

Our job is not simply to “move news,” but to build a careful, checkable public record readers can rely on when decisions affect their neighborhoods, workplaces, and environment.
