Amit Shah Hails Welfare and Infrastructure Achievements as Modi Government Completes 12 Years in Office

Amit Shah Marks 12 Years of Modi Government

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday praised the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government as it completed 12 years in office.

Speaking at an event commemorating the milestone, Shah highlighted several welfare schemes, infrastructure projects, and governance reforms introduced during the past decade. He described the period as one marked by rapid development, improved service delivery, and stronger national growth.

According to Shah, the government has focused on inclusive development while expanding access to welfare benefits for millions of citizens.

Focus on Welfare Schemes

The Home Minister pointed to a range of flagship welfare initiatives launched over the years, including programs related to housing, healthcare, sanitation, financial inclusion, and direct benefit transfers.

He said government efforts have aimed at improving the lives of economically weaker sections through targeted schemes and technology-driven delivery mechanisms.

Shah emphasized that welfare programs have reached remote and underserved regions, helping to reduce gaps in access to essential services.

Infrastructure Development Highlighted

A significant portion of Shah's remarks focused on infrastructure expansion across the country.

He cited the construction of highways, expressways, railway modernization projects, airports, ports, digital infrastructure, and rural connectivity initiatives as major achievements of the government.

According to the minister, improved infrastructure has strengthened economic growth, facilitated investment, and enhanced connectivity between regions.

Economic and Governance Reforms

The Home Minister also highlighted economic reforms undertaken during the Modi government's tenure, stating that efforts to improve ease of doing business and strengthen the digital economy have contributed to India's development.

He said technology adoption in governance has increased transparency and efficiency while helping citizens access government services more easily.

The government has repeatedly projected digital transformation and infrastructure investment as key pillars of its development agenda.

Opposition Criticism Continues

While the BJP celebrated the completion of 12 years in office, opposition parties questioned the government's performance on issues such as unemployment, inflation, and income inequality.

Leaders from the opposition argued that despite infrastructure growth, challenges related to job creation and rising living costs continue to affect large sections of the population.

Political analysts noted that assessments of the government's 12-year record are likely to remain a central theme in national political debates.

BJP Positions Development as Key Achievement

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party has increasingly emphasized welfare delivery, infrastructure expansion, and national development as defining features of the Modi administration.

Party leaders argue that major investments in roads, railways, airports, and digital infrastructure have laid the foundation for long-term economic growth and global competitiveness.

As the government completes 12 years in office, the BJP is expected to continue highlighting these achievements as part of its outreach efforts ahead of future electoral contests.
