Opposition MPs Protest in Parliament Complex Over Ram Temple Donation Allegations, Police Action Against Students

New Delhi: Members of the Opposition on Wednesday held a protest in the Parliament complex, raising concerns over alleged irregularities related to Ram temple donations and demanding accountability for the recent police action against students.

MPs from several Opposition parties gathered with placards and raised slogans, alleging that there had been a "theft" of donations meant for the Ram temple. They called for a transparent investigation into the allegations and sought answers from the government.

The protest also focused on the recent police action against students, with Opposition leaders alleging that excessive force had been used during demonstrations. They demanded that the Centre address the issue and ensure accountability for the actions taken by law enforcement agencies.

The demonstration comes amid repeated disruptions in Parliament during the ongoing Monsoon Session, where the Opposition has been pressing for discussions on several issues, including law and order, governance and alleged financial irregularities.

Government leaders have rejected the Opposition's allegations and accused it of attempting to disrupt parliamentary proceedings through politically motivated protests. The ruling BJP has maintained that Parliament remains the appropriate forum for raising issues and discussing matters of public importance.

The Opposition, however, argued that the concerns raised during the protest deserve immediate attention and should be debated in both Houses of Parliament. Leaders said they would continue to seek discussions on the issues until the government provides a detailed response.

The protest in the Parliament complex reflects the widening political divide between the ruling alliance and the Opposition, with both sides trading allegations over governance, accountability and parliamentary functioning.
