New Delhi: Climate activist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk has praised the Vande Bharat Express and Indian Railways, describing his recent journey towards Ladakh as a "beautiful experience" while appreciating the country's evolving railway infrastructure.
Sharing his experience on social media, Wangchuk said the train journey offered comfort, efficiency and scenic views, adding that the experience reflected the progress being made in India's transportation network.
"Beautiful experience," Wangchuk wrote, while expressing gratitude to Indian Railways and the staff associated with the journey.
His remarks come amid the Centre's continued push to expand high-speed and semi-high-speed rail connectivity across the country. The Vande Bharat train network has been one of the government's flagship railway initiatives, with new routes introduced in several states over the past few years.
