BJP Releases ‘Modi Kahin Nahin Jayega’ Song
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified its social media campaign against the Congress following party president Mallikarjun Kharge’s controversial remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On October 28, 2026, the BJP released a song repeatedly declaring “Modi Kahin Nahin Jayega”, meaning “Modi is not going anywhere”. The song seeks to project Modi as a leader backed by the public while targeting the Opposition over its criticism of the Prime Minister.
The video features images of Modi and has been circulated widely by BJP leaders, Union ministers and party functionaries across social media platforms, including X and Instagram.
The song is part of an escalating online political exchange between the BJP and Congress ahead of a major Opposition rally scheduled for November 1.
BJP Leaders Share the Video on Social Media
Several prominent BJP leaders shared the song to amplify the party’s message.
Those who circulated the video included BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi.
Other party leaders and office-bearers also shared the video across their social media accounts.
The campaign seeks to counter the Congress’s criticism of Modi by emphasising the BJP’s claim that the Prime Minister enjoys public support and will not be forced out by Opposition attacks.
What Does the Song Say?
The song repeatedly asserts that Modi will remain in office and challenges the Opposition’s attempts to weaken him politically.
One of its lines says:
“Aankhein jhuka lo, kaan khol ke sun lo, Modi kahin nahi jaayega.”
The song also takes a swipe at the Opposition with the line suggesting that a lion does not bow and that public support cannot be stopped.
Another passage accuses political opponents of relying on insults while claiming that Modi continues to work towards development.
The lyrics reflect the BJP’s political messaging rather than an independently verifiable assessment of public opinion.
How Did the Controversy Begin?
The controversy erupted after Mallikarjun Kharge made a remark about Prime Minister Modi during an event in Patna on Sunday.
Kharge was attending a programme marking the 139th birth anniversary of Shrikrishna Singh, Bihar’s first Chief Minister.
During the event, an audience member reportedly said that the Prime Minister would not go anywhere. Responding to the comment, Kharge said, “Modi ka baap bhi jayega.”
The remark triggered criticism from the BJP, which accused the Congress president of using inappropriate language against the Prime Minister.
The BJP subsequently intensified its social media campaign, using videos, graphics and the newly released song to target the Congress.
Congress Continues Its ‘Vote Chori’ Campaign
While the BJP has focused its response on Kharge’s remarks, the Congress has continued to attack the government over alleged electoral irregularities.
In a video shared on the party’s official social media account, Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of involvement in alleged “vote chori”.
Gandhi claimed that the Congress had presented evidence to the public and said those responsible would eventually be held accountable.
These allegations represent the Congress’s political position and have not been established as findings by a court or independent authority.
Kharge Also Targets Governments in Several States
The Congress has also circulated a video of Kharge accusing the governments in West Bengal, Haryana, Bihar and Maharashtra of electoral wrongdoing.
Kharge said his party would expose those responsible and seek accountability.
The BJP and Congress have therefore been using social media to advance competing narratives: the BJP is defending Modi against Kharge’s remarks, while the Congress is focusing on its allegations concerning electoral processes and voter-list management.
INDIA Bloc Plans November 1 Rally in Delhi
The political exchange comes ahead of the INDIA bloc’s proposed “Dilli Chalo” rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on November 1, 2026.
The Opposition alliance has described the planned mobilisation as a major rally against alleged “vote chori” and the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The alliance has been raising concerns about voter-list revisions and the functioning of the Election Commission. The poll panel has maintained that its work follows the applicable legal and statutory framework.
The upcoming rally is expected to provide another platform for Opposition parties to coordinate their criticism of the government and the Election Commission.
BJP-Congress Social Media War Intensifies
The latest song highlights how political parties are increasingly using digital campaigns to communicate with voters and respond to opponents.
Both the BJP and Congress have circulated videos, graphics and AI-generated content to reinforce their respective political messages.
The BJP’s song centres on the claim that Modi enjoys public backing and will remain politically secure, while the Congress’s campaign focuses on allegations of electoral malpractice and accountability.
The competing campaigns reflect the growing importance of social media in shaping political narratives, particularly in the run-up to public demonstrations and future elections.
